It took the Mustangs just 21 seconds to get their first goal when senior forward, Katelyn Howard, raced past the goalie to find the back of the net. Senior midfielder, Ellie Holmes, had the assist. Then just a minute later the Mustangs scored their first of 2 goals in the 2nd minute when Howard sent a pass to junior midfielder, MaKenna Presley, who scored the second goal of the game and 10 seconds later senior midfielder, Yesenia Torres, found the net to give the Mustangs a 3-0 lead over the visiting Parkrose Broncos.
Milwaukie outshot the Broncos 18 to 3 in the first half and ended up with 9 goals total scored by 8 different Mustangs. In the 4th minute of the game, senior midfielder, Annika Candee scored and Howard assisted. In the 6th minute, Holmes found the back of the net on a through ball from senior midfielder, Irene Estrada. In the 9th minute, Torres got her second goal of the night and the scoring kept going. Candee sent a ball up to junior forward, Asha Sanders, who outran the defense to give the Mustangs their 7th goal of the night. Estrada punted a ball from 30 yards out that sailed over the Broncos goal keeper to get the 8th goal of the night with 13 minutes left to play in the first half. The 9th and final goal of the half came from sophomore midfielder, Maddie Miller, who scored her first goal of the season on a pass from Howard giving the Mustangs a 9-0 lead going into half time.

Milwaukie goal keeper, Kinsleigh Edmunds, rarely touched the ball with exception of a couple scoring attempts by Parkrose and when her team passed back the ball.
Estrada got her 2nd goal of the game when she found the ball at her feet in front of the goal on the rebound and shot it past the Parkrose goal keeper giving the Mustangs a 10-0 lead. The final goal of the game came from an own goal when a Parkrose defender intercepted a pass from Candee and put it in the net.
The Mustangs remain undefeated after their win against Parkrose making their overall record 8-0-1 and they are currently tied for first place in NWOC. They have a tough schedule next week when they host the reigning state champion LaSalle Falcons (1-7-2) on October 17, and then travel to Sandy who are the reining NWOC league champions (6-1-2) on October 19. The Sandy game could decide this year’s league champion.
