Mustangs News · Congratulations to our Track and Field Team on a great season

We had the varsity districts last week.  There were many personal records and season records set during the meet.  We qualified 11 student/athletes for the state meet this Friday and Saturday.  Highlights and traveling to Eugene for the  state meet on Thursday after school are; Jacob Sanders in the 100m and 200m, Arthur Katahdin in the pole vault, MaKenna Presley in the javelin and pole vault, Noah Ramirez in the shot put and discus, Daniel Berezhinskiy in the shot put. Kaiden Durheim in the discus and our 4×100 relay team of Jake Atkerson, Malik Benson, Chazz Amundson, Jacob Sanders, Juan Hernandez-Murray, and Eliott Vallejos.  Congratulations to these state qualifiers and wish them luck at state in Eugene.

“Athletes of the Week” for last week are Jaydyn Tuel and Jacob Sanders.  This is when you want to have your best finish and Jaydyn follow through and competed in 3 events.  At districts she set a personal record in 2 of them.  She set a record in the long jump and 100m.  Jacob also competed in 3 events.  He placed 1st and state qualifier in the 100m, was 3rd and state qualifier in the 200m and ran the anchor leg in the 4×100 relay which also qualified for state.

Congratulations Jaydyn and Jacob.
