Mustangs News · Milwaukie High School is proud to introduce Michael White as Head Coach

MHS Athletics is proud and excited to formally announce Michael White as its Head Coach for Girls Basketball. Coach white has an extensive coaching background that includes, high school boys basketball, girls basketball for Milwaukie feeder program, starting a several club teams, coaching AAU club, started the Baby Blues feeder program for St. Marys and most recently coaching at St. Mary’s.

What Coach White is looking forward to the most about coaching at Milwaukie s leaving my imprint on the girls program. I want to build a sustainable powerhouse that is in the conversation for a State Championship every year. He will not be doing it on his own. Coach White has worked hard to create a top flight coaching staff:

Veronica Salsbury,  former Varsity assistant coach for Canby Girls Varsity and 8th grade classic feeder coach. She is a defensive minded coach that gets the most out of her team.
Valerie Meyer, she is a former hooper that played at a high level locally. She looks forward to coaching at the school she once attended and helping get our athletes to play at a high level.
Vince Thomas, point guard for Kevin Love in high school and is now a basketball skills trainer.
Jameille Parrish, considered the best basketball skills trainer in Oregon. Coach Parrish trains NBA, NCAA, and the top high school players in the northwest as well as kids at the youth level.
When asked why he’s excited to coach MHS’s girl’s program White replied, “Today, it’s really important to empower our female student athletes. I am proud to be apart of that. In addition, I love basketball and want to share that same drive that I have for the sport with student athletes that want to learn and improve.”
Girls Basketball we are ready to make some noise.
